How do you work cite?

Basic rulesBegin your Works Cited page on a separate page at the end of your research paper. Label the page Works Cited (do not italicize the words Works Cited or put them in quotation marks) and center the words Works Cited at the top of the page. Double space all citations, but do not skip spaces between entries.

Why do we cite evidence?

Not citing sources properly could imply that the ideas, information, and phrasing you are using are your own, when they actually originated with another author. Plagiarism doesn’t just mean copy and pasting another author’s words.

Think of evidence as the supports that buttress your claim, making it more solid than it would be alone. In fact, if you make a claim or an argument without evidence, your paper could appear to be unsupported opinion or not particularly well-researched.

The definition of sufficient is enough or as much as is needed. An example of sufficient is when you have just enough food. Possessing adequate talents or accomplishments; of competent power or ability; qualified; fit. A two-week training course is sufficient to get a job in the coach-driving profession.
